Despite the news about Yahoo buying Tumblr, the app developer pushed through with its update making its post-chooser similar to Path.
For those unfamiliar with Path or a post-chooser, a Path is another social networking app common for Android devices while a post-chooser a button you can tap to add content to your Tumblr blog such as text, photos, videos, links, and more.
Before the update, users will see the compose button at the right side of the screen which then displays different options once tapped. After the update, the compose button will automatically display the options in the window in separate small, round buttons you can tap.
The stack format is quite popular on social networks today but was made even more popular by the app Path. Those who would like to download the updated Tumblr app can get it in the iTunes store. Another update was made by Tumbler yesterday, May 20, called version 3.3.2 and has 99 star ratings as of today.
Another change that can make your Tumblr experience more exciting is the introduction of more sharing options on other social networking sites such as Twitter, Pocker, Instapaper and Facebook.
Users can also view post attribution. This will be helpful because users can now identify the original author of the blog that is getting much attention in the network. The App both works on iPads and iPhones, and recently Android and Windows devices.
Yahoo has confirmed that they have bought Tumblr for $1.1 billion but will still allow the developers to function autonomously as a separate business under the management of current CEO David Karp. This is one of the biggest decisions made by Yahoo in hope to win the throne against Google since Tumblr is very popular beating Facebook in a survey. Tumblr currently has over 108 million blogs.
