Lisa Niemi Remarries Nearly Five Years After Husband Patrick Swayze's Death

Lisa Niemi is a married woman again.

Us Weekly reported that the 57-year-old actress and dancer married 58-year-old jeweler, Albert DePrisco, in Palm Beach, Fla., on Sunday. The nuptials come nearly five years after Niemi lost her husband, Patrick Swayze, to pancreatic cancer.

"What I most look forward to on my wedding day is walking up, standing at our altar, and looking into his most incredible, twinkling eyes," Niemi told People Magazine days before her wedding. "I cannot think of a bigger treat than that."

The married couple reportedly met through mutual friends and dated for more than a year before becoming engaged last Christmas Eve. Niemi first went public with DePrisco last October in Miami.

The ceremony was held at The Mar-a-Lago Club in front of more than 50 guests. Niemi donned a gown designed by Oscar de la Renta and DePrisco wore an Ermenegildo Zegna dinner jacket with custom slacks, according to People.

The bride and groom were surrounded by green and white hydrangeas and white roses. Niemi's nephew and his wife Heidi, both concert violinists, played pieces by Mozart and Haydn. Niemi told People that many of her late husband's friends would be at the ceremony to show their support for the union.

"I have some hilarious friends. I'm sure there will be some fun toasts!" Niemi said. "Later on we'll dance to everything from Michael Bublé and Steve Tyrell, to '70s classics, to current hits, with a big dash of romance thrown in."

In April 2014, the actress opened up about falling in love again in a blog post on her website.

"They say that falling in love is wonderful," Niemi wrote on her website. "That sick feeling. The butterfly stomach, the rubbery legs, the diminished mental capacity. A feeling of being paralyzed, like some kind of speared fish, floating helplessly after a powerful sedative."

Niemi was married to Swayze for 34 years and after losing her husband, she reportedly waited three years before removing her wedding ring.

"About a year ago or eight months ago, all of a sudden I had this bizarre thought and it didn't really make sense to me, but I had a moment when I went, 'You know what this ring says? I'm married to his physical form,'" she told "New York Live" last year. "And actually my connection to him, since he has been gone, has been much deeper than that. And I felt like in a way, for me personally, wearing the ring was lying about the depth of our relationship."
