A new update to Pinterest just made life a whole lot easier for when you have that “Aw man someone has got to see this!” moment.
Now sharing that funny meme, new recipe, or picture of the latest LeBron dunk, takes only a push of a button, according to PCMag.com.
This week the social media service released a new update that allows you to send pins straight to other users from both the Web and their smartphone. You can also add a message to the pin outlining your reason for the send.
Before the update you were allowed to share pins but you had to do so through email, which is a little behind the times. However with the latest update, the site has joined some of its fellow social media sites.
Pictures now have a “Send” button which sits right below a pinned picture and is located to the right of the “Pin it” and “Like” buttons.
Pins can be sent to other Pinterest users, if they are mutual followers, in addition to friends on Facebook and email contacts. In addition after you’ve shared or sent a pin to a fellow user, Pinterest will let you see your send history.
The new update will not be available to everyone right away but will be rolled out over the upcoming weeks.
Tuesday, Pinterest also announced new features for its Android and iOS apps. The features will include mentions, group boards, push notifications and search suggestions. The updates are available in iTunes and Google Play.
