All eyes will be on Tracy Morgan when he hosts the 2013 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night.
But don't expect the experienced comedian to be sweating it out until then.
"Words take meaning," Morgan told People. "If I say, 'I'm nervous,' then I'm going to be nervous. If I'm excited, then I can't wait for it to start. People who are nervous can't wait for it to be over. Nervousness is negative to me. Excitement is the way I like to use it."
Morgan said he will have no problem hosting the awards spectacle.
"I'm 44 years old," he said. "I've been in show business for 20 years. I'm a grown man. I'm a pro."
The former star of "30 Rock," which just ended earlier this year after 7 seasons, explains that there will be people who "are going to be in the line of fire" when it comes time to deliver some jokes.
"I'm not looking forward to making fun of anybody, because these are all the best of the best in the world," he said. "I'm just going to be excited to be there."
The list of performers include: Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, David Guetta, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Chris Brown, Nick Minaj, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and many more.
The show will also feature a special performance by Grammy-award winning singer, Prince who will be accepting the Billboard Icon Award. Madonna will be on hand for the event and will accept the Top Touring Artist Award for her MDNA tour which sold out all of it's 88 shows.
The 2013 Billboard Music Awards will air live this Sunday from Las Vegas on ABC at 8p.m. EST.
