Prepaid carrier MetroPCS announced it will start selling Samsung Galaxy S III in select stores this weekend, and in all MetroPCS stores and online beginning Monday.
The Android 4.0 smartphone, priced at $499, will be available off-contract on any of MetroPCS' 4G LTE service plans, ranging from $30 - $70 per month, including the limited-time promotional plans of 4G LTE for $30 or unlimited talk, text and 4G LTE data for $55 per month.
Calculating on its current 4G LTE plan, MetroPCS said consumers can save approximately $1,200 or more over the course of two years when comparing the total costs of both the smartphone and rate plans with other 4G LTE operators.

Galaxy S III comes with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM memory. It has a 4.8 inch 720P HD SuperAMOLED screen and offers 8MP back and 1.9MP front cameras with features like Burst Shot, Best Shot and Share Shot, which enable users capture images in various situation, colors and share them quickly with others.
