A report released by Toronto City Hall says Mayor Rob Ford was intoxicated at City Hall this past St. Patrick's Day and made a threat against a guard who had reported the mayor for similar behavior two years ago, according to the Toronto Star.
The report released Friday says Ford visited the desk at City Hall on March 15 and handed out St. Patrick's Day beads, the Star reported.
The report also says that using slurred speech, Ford threatened to "get" a guard who reported that on St. Patrick's Day two years ago, the mayor was walking around City Hall with "a half empty bottle of St-Remy French Brandy," according to the Star.
Ford took a leave of absence this week and checked into rehab after a report surfaced of a video apparently showing him smoking crack last weekend, the Star reported. In another video, Ford assaulted friend Sandro Lisi and repeatedly used a highly offensive racial slur on the same night he was filmed smoking crack cocaine, according to the 20-year-old drug dealer who shot the recent video.
Ford repeatedly used the n-word to refer to the drug dealer, and described former Toronto Community Housing boss Eugene Jones, whom he supports, with the same word, the man alleged, according to the Star.
"No n----- gets fired in my town. When I get re-elected that n----- is going to be back in charge," Ford said, according to the dealer's account of the night, the Star reported.
Lisi has been charged with extortion for allegedly trying to retrieve an earlier video showing the mayor smoking crack and making homophobic and racially charged comments, according to the Star. The mayor has remained publicly loyal to his friend.
The video viewed by the Star clearly shows Lisi, Rob Ford and Kathy Ford, the mayor's sister who has struggled with drug addiction. It does not record the alleged beating of Lisi but does show Ford inhaling from a homemade pipe as a cloud of white smoke spreads as Ford exhales, the Star reported.
Toronto Mayor Rob Ford expects to overcome his "little challenge" with substance abuse and get back to work after a stint in rehab, his brother said Friday, according to the Star.
