Bria Kelly and Tess Boyer were eliminated this week in the second round of eliminations on "The Voice" Season 6, Live Shows.
"The Voice" Season 6 is touted to have the best singing talent in the history of the show. So each week's elimination comes with its own share of surprises and this week was no exception.
Tuesday's (April 29) episode started with host Carson Daly announcing that Gwen Stefani and Pharell Williams have been roped in to coach next year's season of "The Voice." This announcement was followed by Team Usher's performance with the singer and contestants Bria Kelly and Josh Kaufman performing on stage together for the first time.
Daly then went on to announce Christina Grimmie as being the first safe contestant of the night, followed by Sisaundra Lewis. Kristen Merlin and Josh Kaufman also moved on to the next round of the Live Shows.
This was followed by Shakira singing a song from her newest album with her team Kristen Merlin and Tess Boyer. Daly then told Audra McLaughlin and Delvin Choice they were safe for the night. Jake Wellington also made in to the next round, leaving Kat Perkins, Bria Kelly and Tess Boyer in the bottom three.
The first unsafe contestant to take the stage was Kelly who sang "Crazy For You." The coaches said it was shocking to see her in the bottom three. Next up was Boyer who sang "Who Knew." The coaches said they were devastated to see her in the bottom three yet again and commended her for being such an amazing singer.
Kat Perkins ended the night with her performance, singing "Paris Ooh La La," following which Daly took the stage to announce the final safe contestant.
Kat Perkins was saved by America, sending Bria Kelly and Tess Boyer home.
This week, Christina Grimmie received the iTunes bonus multiplier, with her studio recording of "Hold On, We're Going Home" occupying the fourth position on the iTunes Top 200 Singles chart at the close of the voting window.
