Skeletal Remains Of Identical Twin Brothers Found Lounging On Recliners, Three Years After Death (VIDEO)

Two skeletal remains of identical twin brothers were discovered to be lounging on recliners insider their home by police in Chattanooga, Tennessee, over the weekend, Headline News reported.

Alleged to have died in early 2011, the remains of the 63-year-old men have been sent to the lab for finding out the cause through toxicology reports, according to a press release from the Chattanooga Police Department, which was obtained by HLN affiliate WDEF.

No evidence has been obtained that suggests the brothers' deaths to be homicides or having involved foul play, police said.

"Officers went to the home with family members back in 2011, according to the statement, and thought at the time that the residence was vacant," HLN reported. "During that visit, they discovered a letter from the post office inside the mailbox, which stated that delivery of mail to the address had ceased."

No suspicious activity, including any foul odors or signs of forced entry, was found which could have warranted the officers to force their way into the house.

"At that time, family members indicated that they would not have been surprised if the brothers had moved without telling anyone," said the press release.

However, concerned family members assisted the officers back to the property on Saturday with an extra pair of keys to the twins' home.

Andrew Gary Johnson and Anthony Larry Johnson, identified as the twin brothers, were discovered upon entering the house, according to the police statement.

"While this incident is tragic and unfortunate, Andrew and Anthony lived a hermit lifestyle and did not communicate with family or anyone else," said the police statement. "The brothers also gave no indication that would lead anyone to believe they had any type of mental complications ... they both had a valid driver's license, insurance, owned vehicles and there were even records of them owning their own business."

Since the home's grass remained cut and the mailbox never overflowed, neighbors told local TV station WRCB that they never suspected anything foul, HLN reported.
