Chicago Train Derailment Video Shows Blue Line Veering off Rails, Crashing into Escalator at O'Hare (SEE IT)

A video posted on YouTube this week appears to show a Blue Line train that veered off the rails and crashed into an escalator at O'Hare International Airport on Monday.

The footage, which was initially posted on Tuesday night, deleted, then re-posted Wednesday morning by user SuccessHab, depicts a train entering the Chicago airport's station, then slamming into a bank of escalators.

According to CSN Chicago, it's unclear whether the YouTube account posted the original video, and officials are still not sure who filmed the footage.

The eight-car crash left 32 people in the immediate area injured, after the train advanced to the end of the platform and hit the escalators leading to O'Hare International's terminals on Monday morning. None of the victims were seriously harmed.

The city's Fire Department Commissioner recounted the details of the crash, which occurred shortly before 3 a.m., during an interview with CSN Chicago.

"The train actually climbed over the last stop, jumped up on the sidewalk and then went up the stairs and escalators," Jose Santiago stated.

Representatives from the Chicago Transit Authority were not available for comment on the video when contacted by CSN Chicago reporters.

Some filed claims against the CTA on Tuesday, for reportedly acting negligently and executing "a reported combination of operator inattention and excessive speed."

22-year-old employee Niakesha Thomas, who filed suit this week, told NBC 5 that her work calls for a lot of standing, but her wounds have left her unable to walk.

"I can't use the bathroom by myself, I can't take a bath," Thomas said.

She told NBC 5 that she was in the train's third car when the Blue Line crashed into the escalator.

"I heard a big noise, I felt my chest hit the seat in front of me, and then my back hit the seat behind me and the lights went out," Thomas recalled. "I got up, I walked out and I hollered, I got scared, I started shaking. I was a nervous wreck."
