"Assassin's Creed 5" alleged screenshots have made their way online, and with the images came speculations there will be multiple franchise titles slated for a 2014 release.

Ubisoft has not confirmed any news relating to the "Assassin's Creed" series, but that hasn't stopped the game chatter. Check out the five most interesting stories relating to "Assassin's Creed 5" below.

1. "Assassin's Creed: Unity" is the rumored PS4 and Xbox One exclusive title, according to leaked screenshots.

"These screenshots, sent to me by a source who requested anonymity, show Unity's new assassin roaming around what appears to be Paris," Kotaku reports. "You can see Notre Dame, the Seine River, and other Parisian landmarks, and the shots are very clearly from an early version of the game." (Click here to view the game stills)

2. Ubisoft executive Jade Raymond dispels Feudal Japan location rumors.

"When we're building a franchise, we're thinking of a whole universe and how we're developing a meta-story that could live on for many years in games and TV," Raymond told Adweek. "If the story has nowhere to go, then you end up with the video game equivalent of The Matrix 2 or something where it's never going to be quite as genius."

3. A second "Assassin's Creed" installment rumored to be exclusive to the PS3 and Xbox 360.

"This information comes both from web chatter and our own conversations with developer sources," Kotaku reports. "For months now we've heard rumors and rumblings about what could be the next installment in Ubisoft's popular assassin-parkour series, which has been released on an annual schedule for five years now. There's been a new major Assassin's Creed every fall since 2009."

4. Another allegedly leaked image shows off the potential title character for one of the two rumored "Assassin's Creed" games.

5. "Assassin's Creed 5" might take place in Victorian London, according to an allegedly leaked press release published by GoNintendo.com.

"In the events of the ongoing Industrial Revolution, Assassin's Creed V follows the story of Samuel Fey, as he enters the Assassin Order in a time of change and Templar rule. Fey is a successful and respectful entrepreneur, who works outside the corrupt law to guarantee the security of his own and others' futures. Taking place during the closing years of the Industrial Revolution in Victorian London, players will explore all new locales as they uncover the truth behind the hidden ongoing rebellion."
