Kanye West has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery charges in a case involving a Los Angeles photographer who was reportedly attacked by the rapper.
The "New Slaves" artist's attorney submitted the plea, the Associated Press reported. Kanye did not attend the court hearing.
A California judge sentenced the 36-year-old musician to two years of probation, 250 hours of community service and 24 anger management therapy meetings.
No civil settlement has been reached between the rapper and the paparazzo, who allegedly got into a scuffle with one another in July 2012.
Kanye has maintained his innocence in the case against him, which concerns a reported altercation at Los Angeles International Airport with cameraman Daniel Ramos.
Ramos filed suit against West for misdemeanor counts of battery and grand theft after he claimed that Kanye punched him unprovoked, then wrangled his camera to the floor in the midst of a struggle.
Ramos attended the hearing on Monday, flanked by legal representative Gloria Allred.
No felony charges will be filed against Kanye, but local prosecutors stated they will go after misdemeanor charges nonetheless.
This isn't the first time Kanye has gotten in trouble with the hordes of paparazzi that lay and wait for him to make any public appearance, AP reported.
Los Angeles police arrested Kanye in 2008, after he fought with some photographers at LAX. But the charges were dropped after Kanye agreed to pay for the damaged equipment.
Kanye also was involved in an altercation in January, after an 18-year-old man threw a racial slur at the rapper's fiancée Kim Kardashian. The reality star called Kanye on the phone, informed him what had happened, and Ye came to the site of the incident to attack the man in a nearby chiropractor's office.
