Amber Alert for 2-Year-Old Texas Toddler Issued: Temple Police Looking for Child Allegedly Kidnapped by Father

Texas police issued an Amber Alert at about 10:45 a.m. Friday for a two-year-old who has gone missing.

According to South Texas news station KIIITV, Temple law enforcement officials are searching for toddler Isaiah Corson, who is thought to be with 29-year-old Vincent Corson, Jr.

Police believe Vincent kidnapped the two-year-old at about 6:30 a.m. Friday morning, following a shooting.

KCEN-TV reported that Vincent, who is father to Isaiah, shot the mother of the child multiple times, then ran off with the 2-year-old.

"Her 2-year-old was in her arms when the shooting started, and she dropped the two-year-old when the bullets were coming at her," Lieutenant Edward Best told KCEN.

The unidentified woman, who reportedly is married to Vincent, survived two gunshot wounds to the arm and hip. Temple police said Isaiah's mother had an order of protection against Vincent at the time.

According to KIIITV, Vincent was last seen in a red or maroon Mazda sedan. The 2007 model automobile bore Texas license plates with the number CCS2279.

Authorities have described Corson as a black male, about three feet, four inches tall and weighing around 40 pounds. His hair is cut in Mohawk style, and loved ones told KIIITV that they last saw him wearing blue jeans, black shoes and a black hoodie.

Vincent is a 5-foot-8 black man with a beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing black jeans and a black jacket and also has his hair in a Mohawk style.

Police are urging anyone with information to call Temple law enforcement at 254-298-5500 or 911, Dallas News reported.
