Actor Chance Perdomo, who rose to fame starring in the TV shows "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" and "Gen V," has died after a motorcycle accident, his publicist said late Saturday. He was 27.

"On behalf of the family and his representatives, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo's untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident," the British-American actor's publicist said in a statement obtained by the Associated Press.

Details of the crash, including where it happened, were not released.

"The entire Gen V family is devastated by the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo," Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television said in a joint statement. "Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance's family and all who loved him at this difficult time."

The producers of "Gen V" released a statement saying, "Writing about him in the past tense doesn't make sense. We are so sorry for Chance's family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight."

Perdomo was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award in 2019 for Best Leading Actor for his role in "Killed by My Debt," a biographical drama about a motorbike courier who faces growing debt due to unpaid fines from traffic infractions.

His next project was the action-comedy "Bad Man" which is currently in post-production, according to IMDB.
