New York Gov. Kathy Hochul left the wake for slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller on Friday after a confrontation with a man in a black suit.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was asked to leave the Long Island wake of slain NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller on Friday, according to a report.

The governor arrived at the Massapequa Funeral Home for the second day of viewings when a man in a black suit confronted her, the New York Post reported.

The outlet reported that several cops at the funeral home clapped as she walked away.

It comes one day after former President Donald Trump attended the wake.

Sergeants Benevolent Association President Vincent Vallelong previously wrote a letter telling members of the New York City Council to keep their distance.

"Their presence is more than a distraction. It is a stain on the legacy of a true hero who made the ultimate sacrifice," Vallelong said, adding the lawmakers should feel "morally responsible" for Diller's killing.

Gov. Hochul's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from HNGN.com.

Diller, a married father to a 1-year-old son, was fatally shot Monday during a traffic stop in a Queens neighborhood.

Diller and his partner stopped a vehicle in Queens' Far Rockaway neighborhood around 5:50 p.m. Monday after spotting it illegally parked at a bus stop, according to police

After the car's passenger, identified by officials as Guy Rivera, refused officers' orders to step out of the vehicle, Diller and his partner moved to remove him, authorities said.

That's when Rivera, 34, allegedly pulled a gun and shot Diller, 31, in the torso, below his bullet-resistant vest, officials said.

Even after he was shot, Diller continued to grapple with Rivera for the gun, eventually wrestling it away, police said.

Diller's partner, meanwhile, returned fire, hitting Rivera in the back.

First responders rushed both Rivera and Diller to Jamaica Hospital.

But while Rivera survived his injuries, being described as in stable condition, Diller did not.

Rivera is charged with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree attempted murder, and a slew of weapons-related charges, according to prosecutors.

Diller's funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
