The bout for the Republican Primary has come down to two candidates former president Trump and former ambassador Nikki Haley.

In a recent email, Haley celebrated the news stating "At one point in this campaign, there were 14 of us running. But today, it's officially a two-person race between me and Donald Trump!" This development follows Tim Scott's recent dropout and endorsement of former President Trump. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also dropped out Sunday and endorsed the former president. These recent developments have potentially given the former president a significant boost as many individuals see Trump as their next best choice. BBC recently discussed a New Hampshire poll that 62% of DeSantis supporters share this sentiment. Meanwhile, Nikki Haley only came in at 30%.

In addition to his endorsement of the former president, DeSantis also had some words for Haley however, they were not very positive stating that Haley represents "the old Republican guard of yesteryear - a repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism". However, Haley herself hasn't shown signs of slowing down despite members of her party sharing some harsh words. Earlier it was reported by HNGN this month that Haley shared that her campaign had raised a solid 24 million dollars. In addition to her strong campaign, it seems that many Republican voters resonate with her due to her representing an era before Trump.

However, it still might not be enough despite her strong standing. This is what makes a victory in New Hampshire even more critical. The two candidates will finally have their long-awaited showdown this Tuesday.
