As of writing, the main cause of his death is still unknown as authorities continue their investigation. But, some speculations claim that Valdez took his own life.

These rumors became more serious after a leaked video, which was allegedly bodycam footage from the Quezon City Police District, went viral on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms.

Ronaldo Valdez Death Video Leads to Dismissal of 2 QCPD Cops

The circulation of the video showing Ronaldo Valdez during his last moments led to the dismissal of two QCPD policemen, who were accused of being involved in leaking the footage.

According to Rappler's latest report, the viral video of Ronaldo Valdez's death showed the retrieval of his bloodied body after he was found with a gunshot wound on his right temple.

Some Filipino netizens who were able to watch the video claimed that Valdez was seemingly still alive while QCPD police officers responded to his house in Quezon City.

Although some Philippine residents decided to share the video, many Filipinos criticized their actions, saying that they had no respect for the veteran actor.

The Quezon City Police District also faced criticism since their officers were the ones who leaked the footage. Because of this, QCPD decided to terminate those who were involved.

This was confirmed by QCPD Director Brigadier General Red Maranan on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

"Two were relieved. One first responder and one uploader to the Viber group, while the station commander is also relieved under the doctrine of command responsibility," said the QCPD official.

Filipino Netizens Don't Support Sharing Ronaldo Valdez Death Video

Filipino netizens are disappointed with the leakage of Ronaldo Valdez's death video, saying that this footage was supposed to be confidential and kept private.

Fans are criticizing other Philippine residents who are sharing and asking for links since what they are doing is unethical and shows that they lack respect for the Filipino celebrity.

Jamela Santos, the manager of Ronaldo Valdez, was also disappointed after knowing that there were Filipinos who were sharing the actor's video.

Expressing her anger, Jamela asked why people are so cruel during this grieving time, saying that those who are asking for links and sharing videos have no respect at all.

In the comment section, many fans of Ronaldo suggested that if someone sees a netizen sharing the video, they should post the account's link publicly so they can mass report them.

Filipino netizens are also expressing their disappointment on Twitter (now called X).

"To whatever agency the person who uploaded it from, your main duty is to respond & not to disclose private info for clout just because you are privileged enough to have access to such. We have laws remember?" said an X user.

Ronaldo Valdez is a very respected Filipino actor known for his roles in various TV series and movies, such as "Seven Sundays," "2 Good 2 Be True," and "Ikaw Lamang."

He was also dubbed the first Filipino colonel of KFC. Ronaldo Valdez really made a difference in the Philippine media industry as he inspired many Filipinos—both old and young—by sharing his acting skills.

If you're one of those who encourage sharing Ronaldo Valdez's death video, ask yourself if this is the right thing to do (clearly, it is not).
