Russian President Vladimir Putin meets with China's President Xi Jinping at the Kremlin in Moscow on March 21, 2023.

Experts have warned that China, Russia, and North Korea might exploit the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel as a diversion to carry out destructive actions and potentially prepare for a global battle, commonly called World War 3.

The deadly conflict between Israel and Palestine has again brought the Middle East into global focus in recent weeks, as per Mirror.

Russia, China, and North Korea's Advantage in Israel Conflct

The crisis, which has resulted in the loss of thousands of lives and widespread destruction, has garnered the attention of international observers, including prominent leaders like Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong-un.

In the opinion of experts, the Western world's response to this ongoing crisis is expected to have far-reaching implications, not only for the Middle East but also for the global balance of power. Keir Giles, a Russia expert from Chatham House, has expressed concern about the potential exploitation of multiple crises by China, Russia, and North Korea.

He warns that if these countries perceive the West as overwhelmed, they may take advantage of the situation to further their agendas. Giles warns that these countries may take advantage of the situation to pursue their strategic interests, especially while the West is still grappling with its response to the turmoil in the Middle East.

According to Ashok Swain, a peace and conflict research professor at Uppsala University, the ongoing situation in Israel and Palestine has gained significant attention. It has the potential to involve other Middle Eastern nations in the conflict.

In a recent statement, Professor Swain revealed that China and Russia diligently observe the diffusion of the tension, viewing it as an opportunity to assess and strengthen their positions on the global stage. This strategic positioning could allow them to exert influence and expand their control areas.

Given the intricacies of the current geopolitical situation, it is crucial to analyze the far-reaching consequences of this ongoing crisis carefully. The Middle East has long been known for its ongoing conflicts. Still, tensions have escalated even further due to a recent attack by the Palestinian militant Hamas on Israel.

Unfortunately, this conflict has already resulted in the loss of thousands of lives. Israel has carried out airstrikes in Gaza, resulting in disproportionate casualties among Palestinians, including many children and women, according to Newsbreak.

Russian Interests

The consequences of this crisis extend beyond the borders of Israel and Palestine. Recent clashes have occurred between Israeli forces and Hezbollah fighters along the Lebanon-Israel border. These developments can potentially escalate the crisis to neighboring nations, causing concerns about the potential for a larger, full-scale war.

Moreover, the ongoing crisis in the Middle East allows global powers, especially Russia, to pursue their objectives with reduced scrutiny. Under Putin's leadership, Russia has been heavily criticized and faced sanctions due to its actions in Ukraine.

However, the recent shift in focus towards the Middle East has diverted attention away from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Keir Giles has pointed out that this diversion aligns with Russia's interests, providing the country with greater freedom to act.

With the global spotlight shifting, there is growing concern that countries like Ukraine could bear the brunt of these repercussions. It is essential to acknowledge that Russia's interests extend beyond Ukraine.

Giles suggests that Russia's actions in Ukraine are part of a broader strategy that includes cooperating with countries such as Iran and North Korea. These countries, often associated with exporting chaos and conflict, also share Russia's goal of disrupting the international order, Daily Beast reported.
