Via Yahoo News, the British Deer Society explained that albino deer are commonly part of the fallow deer species. White deer sightings in England and other parts of the U.K. are extremely rare.

Animal experts said that albinism is estimated to only appear in 1 in 30,000 deer. Seeing a white deer is definitely exciting.

However, albino deer are not really lucky since most of them have health issues due to a lack of melanin. These include shortened jaws, arched spines, deformed hooves, and other health problems.

Another problem with white deer is they are more vulnerable to predators. Unlike normal hoofed animals, albino deer can't easily hide because of their white color, unless they are living in a place where there's lots of snow.
