Hunter Biden’s Child Support Case Moves Forward in Arkansas Court

Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden, attended a child support hearing in Arkansas on Monday for his 4-year-old daughter, whom he has never formally recognized.

Child support payments were resolved between Lunden Roberts, 32, and Biden in 2020, the issue was revisited when Hunter Biden asked for modifications to the payments.

Biden's attorney, Abbe Lowell, said that $20,000 is being paid monthly by Hunter Biden to the mother of the child, according to Fox News.

Holly Meyer, the presiding judge in the Hunter Biden child support case, has set deadlines for the lawyers to turn in discovery and begin depositions, indicating that she intends for the Hunter Biden child support case to progress swiftly.

Following the hearing, Judge Meyer ordered Hunter Biden, 53, to submit written responses to questions about his current financial situation, including the sales of any artworks, investments, and any other financial transactions.

In addition, the court ordered that Hunter Biden testify under oath in a deposition scheduled for the middle of June.

Hunter Biden was overheard making short comments to his attorneys and taking notes throughout the hearing, according to the New York Post.

Roberts's loved ones sat in the row behind her, while Hunter Biden was only joined by his lawyers and two Secret Service personnel.

DNA Evidence Says Hunter Biden is the Child's Father

About a dozen police officers were stationed in the court's parking lot before the 9 a.m. hearing, and Hunter, dressed in a dark suit and tie, was brought in through a back entryway.

Hunter Biden's child support payments may be reduced after a trial in July.

DNA evidence supported the claim of Lunden Roberts, a former stripper, that Hunter Biden is the biological father of her daughter, now four years old, according to legal papers submitted by Roberts.

Roberts' legal team asked for the baby girl's last name to be changed to Biden in December.

Despite his initial denial of paternity, Hunter Biden ultimately consented to a paternity test and has been paying child support ever since. The Hunter Biden lawsuit has not been resolved, however.

The court hearing coincides with Republicans' increased scrutiny of Hunter Biden's financial activities. Hunter's legal team recently spoke with Justice Department officials about a possible criminal tax probe against their client.
