Ex-UFC star, Nate Diaz, has been issued an arrest warrant over second-degree battery after a recent altercation, according to the police.

The former UFC star was allegedly involved in a street brawl last weekend. The video of the fight has since made rounds on social media, featuring a Logan Paul look alike.

Ex-UFC Star Nate Diaz Faces Arrest Warrant After Street Fight with Logan Paul Lookalike

According to ESPN, the New Orleans Police Department has already issued the former UFC star, Diaz, with a warrant of arrest on Apr. 25, Monday, due to his alleged involvement in an altercation over the weekend.

A viral video on social media platforms shows Diaz in a brawl involving YouTube star Rodney Petersen, who looks a lot like Logan Paul. The former UFC star was seen choking the latter on Bourbon Street.

The spokesperson of the New Orlean Police Department, Karen A. Boudrie, confirmed that "there has been an arrest warrant issued" to the ex-UFC star. However, she clarified to Steven Marrocco of MMAFighting.com that Diaz was not in their custody.

The New Orleans Police spokesperson says, "He is not in custody."

The police note that they charged the former UFC star after gathering videos of the street fight. The martial artist is now facing a "second-degree battery" charge due to his alleged involvement in the street brawl.

New Orleans Street Fight

As per Bleacher Report, the free agent mixed martial artist, Diaz, was actually in New Orleans due to the boxing event fight of his longtime teammate Chris Avila. He was there to support him.

Before the street brawl, Diaz was reportedly involved in an altercation during the boxing match. Bleacher Report says he allegedly threw a water bottle at reality show star Chase DeMoor, which triggered a scuffle.

The video of the street fight shows Diaz giving Peterson, popularly known for his close resemblance to Logan Paul, a guillotine choke until he went unconscious. The YouTube personality, Peterson, responded to the clip of the altercation, Fox News reports. He says, "I don't know what the hell I did to Nate Diaz." He added that "I'm going to knock him the f--- out when I know he's coming."

"What did you think I was, Logan," the YouTube personality Petersen said as he addressed Diaz after the street fight video went viral.

Diaz has yet to respond to these reports as of writing.

The former UFC star is set to face the brother of Logan Paul, Jake Paul, in a boxing match on August 5. Diaz has already parted ways with the UFC. His upcoming fight will mark his much-awaited debut in boxing.
