Kendall and Kylie Jenner can now add "author" to their resume. The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" stars released the cover of their new young-adult novel titled "Rebels: City of Indra."

The cover "is an artistic piece of work that features an aerial view of a futuristic city, with a woman's eye at the top of the book, showing the reflection of a female body succumbing to a beam of light," E! News writes who had first dibs at cover.

The novel set "200 years in the future" tells the story of two sisters Livia and Lex. According to their publisher Karen Hunter, the two "super-powered girls... embark on a journey together, not realizing their biggest danger might be each other."

"The story that Kendall and Kylie crafted is a thrill ride - one that their fans and fans of this genre won't be able to put down," Hunter said, E! reports.

Kendall and Kylie first announced last summer that they were working on a book with author Maya Solane. According to E! "Rebels: City of Indra" could be the first novel in a series.

"We want to do something so different, something that we really love," Kendall told E! at the time.

"Kylie and I love the creative challenges and are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to share this story," Kendall said after the cover was revealed. "We can't wait to share these characters and the world we created with readers everywhere. We are so excited!"

The book will be released June 3. Besides the novel the famous sisters have already launched their own clothing line and recently unveiled a shoe and handbag line for Steve Madden.

This isn't the first book a Kardashian family member has released. In 2010 Kim, Kourtney and Khloe released "Kardashian Konfidential" followed by "Dollhouse" a year later. Both books received mixed reviews.
