Russian Deputy Foreign Minister addressed the opening of the UN Least Developed Countries Conference in Doha, saying that ending poverty as their primary goal will be achieved with assistance.

Russia said that the Least Developed Countries aim to end poverty as their primary goal during the opening of the UN Least Developed Countries Conference in Doha. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin mentioned practical approaches to beating impoverishment, more stability, with sovereignty to chart its path without interference from others.

Russia Says LDCs Should Be Helped

The Russian Deputy FM Sergey Vershinin attended the summit at Doha last Monday, where he spoke in the forum. Russian Foreign Ministry published his remarks on Telegram, reported Anadolu.

He said these countries require help in "building up production capacity and infrastructure, diversifying trade, as well as ensuring access (of these countries) to innovations and modern technologies." Vershinin added that combined goals are needed to push these developing countries forward with proper assistance.

Why these nations have this predicament and the UN calling it least developed originates in how western countries treated developing nations. These adverse effects have been caused by colonial exploitation, not enough resources, and the poor geographical location of these countries, noted TR Daily News.

Moscow Expressed Support for the Doha Action Program

Vershinin said such overambitious tasks are impractical for such goals. Fund for these developing countries needs about $1 trillion to fund and reach Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 9, cited TASS.

These least developed countries need monetary support to sustain the continuously via development assistance. More is needed as many nations need this kind of help in this category, but funds are required.

LDCs Need Support in an Era of Economic, Snergy Instability

Vershinin encouraged donors to extend more support to developing countries needing help in this economic period. He called it reprehensible by those trying to influence international assistance that ties these developing nations to their interests, like colonialism, even daring to block the assistance given by the Russian federation via projects that will foster independence from external powers that want to control them.

Poor and undeveloped countries can be pushed around and bullied by more prosperous nations if they want support for anything. Moscow has doubled the official development assistance it offers to about 1 billion per year, and developing countries are getting most of the assistance.

Other kinds of support like debt relief are needed, said Moscow, which has written off about 380 million debts of nations in this category. Other options offered to least developed countries are preferences in trade and education packages to assist them more.

Vershinin reiterated that entities who want to subvert the conference to their political agendas should stop. Help these countries to reach self-sufficiency with proper economic assistance without strings attached.

Indicating the economic struggles of least-developed countries should be the global community's goal. It's the fault of those blaming Moscow for the deteriorating economic condition. He lectured the west to impose sanctions to bring them down.

These reckless actions by those responsible are the authors of all these shortages causing these dilemmas. Russia spoke on behalf of Least Developed Countries that should have programs to deal with poverty.
