Tennessee Woman Involved in Illegal Buttocks Injection Case Sentenced to 7 Years in Prison

A Tennessee woman will spend the next seven years in prison for her involvement in the death of a woman who was receiving silicone buttocks injections illegally.

Judge Bill Gowan of the Hinds County Circuit Court sentenced Memphis resident Natasha Stewart on Friday, after she was found guilty on charges of culpable negligence manslaughter, the Associated Press reported.

Stewart's conviction concerns the 2012 death of Atlanta native Karima Gordon, 37.

Stewart, also known by the moniker Pebbelz Da Model, took $200 to send a referral for Gordon to floral and interior designer Tracey Lynn Garner. Garner was reportedly administered illicit injections out of a Jackson home.

Stewart said she thought the woman giving these silicone buttocks injections was a nurse. The Memphis resident said she'd even gotten injections herself, at least 20 times.

Gordon died from silicone in her lungs just days after she'd received an injection March 2012.

Garner is scheduled to go to trial this March.

Stewart, who worked as an adult entertainer, said Gordon's untimely death was unfortunate, and that her need for "outer beauty" ultimately trumped all reason.
