Shoppers at a Doral, Fla. Walmart Supercenter were evacuated on Wednesday night, after store officials received word of a bomb threat.
No one was injured, according to a report by the Miami Herald.
As a safety precaution, the parking lot of the Supercenter was also cleared of all patrons' vehicles.
The evacuation caused backed-up traffic at 87th Avenue and Northwest 13th Terrace, the Miami Herald reported.
Officers said the threat was first sent to Walmart associates at about 9 p.m., whereupon management and staff alerted authorities and commenced the evacuation.
Not much is known of the apparent bomb threat at this point, but based on an initial investigation, police officers believe it was simply a hoax.
The Miami-Dade bomb squad has been tasked with carrying out the probe.
