US President Joe Biden was caught on video that appeared he was shaking hands with a non-existent person after a speech in North Carolina, which set off his critics over his recent gaffe.

Joe Biden shook hands in thin air latest gaffe happened after he made the script remark in a presidential address, which is the nth gaffe that seems to happen a lot, even before he became president. No one knows why he did it, and it costs at the polls with the lowest numbers to date.

President Biden Shakes Hands With No One

The act of shaking hands in think air happened yesterday when President Biden was just done with a speech about the country's supply crisis, reported the Express UK.

His latest gaffe was caught on video that went viral with eight million hits since it was posted on social media.

After his speech, the 79-year-old president faced his right and then turned left, looking like he was mumbling something unintelligible on stage. Since Biden has more engagements lately, more of these off-script mistakes have been happening a lot, cited Politico.

Everyone sees him make the motions on stage, then gets off, as the music plays as he leaves the podium.

The alleged off-scrip gaffe happened while he was speaking in North Carolina about the supply crisis engulfing the US.

Biden Gets Ridiculed on Social Media

Critics who have sparred with the president on national issues, like Texas Senator Ted Cruz, retweeted the video using a wide-eyed emoji.

The former vice chairwoman of the California Republican Party, Harmeet Dhillon, also posted about the incident.

Robby Starbuck, slated to make a bid for the Tennessee Republican primary, called out the music, which did not make the event any better. Many in the GOP don't agree with the president's policies.

Biden also made a series of odd remarks during the address, erroneously claiming to have worked as a full professor for four years at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), noted NDTV.

In 2017, President Biden was named the Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, although he didn't handle regular classes.

Biden is said to earn nearly a million dollars in his professorship at the University of Pennsylvania.

He resumed his tirade about 70 percent of US inflation, blaming it on Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

According to the most recent data from the US Labor Department, inflation reached a 41-year high of 8.5 percent in March.

Biden's Low Ratings Concerns the Democrats

Biden has gotten lower than ever in a poll conducted earlier this week; it has never been this low for former President Donald Trump.

Seventy-six percent of Democrats approve of his leadership, while only three percent of Republicans and 26 percent of independents do.

President Biden's handling of the Ukraine war received 39% approval among Americans, while 48% disapproved.

About 68 percent of the US thinks enough is not done to stop Russia. According to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday, the president's lowest approval rating is 33 percent.

Biden shaking hands in the air is another contentious issue the White House needs to cover as polls drop because of his unintentional gaffes.
