Lea Michele released another single from her upcoming album "Louder" - "You're Mine", which is an emotional tribute to her late boyfriend Cory Monteith.
After her heart-wrenching tribute to the late Cory Monteith on a special "Glee" episode with her soulful rendition of "Make You Feel My Love," actress Lea Michele decided she wanted something more original and personal to ensure her love for Monteith lives on forever.
Monday, Feb. 10, the "Glee" actress released a new single from her upcoming album "Louder". The song titled "You're Mine" is an emotional tribute to Monteith, Us Weekly reports. Reportedly, the song is a last minute addition to her new album.
"My next IG track #YOUREMINE (available tomorrow) is my favorite song on #LOUDER. It's so special to me & it's story is so close to my heart. (sic)," the actress tweeted Monday.
She also posted a few other pictures containing lyrics of the songs with lines like "I told you all my dreams and fears / and you looked at me and your eyes filled with tears" and "And you said those three words I've been waiting for / you became a part of me."
Last November, Michele told Elle magazine she was in the process of recording a song for Monteith, that may or may not be a part of her upcoming album.
"The album was done, and the label said, 'Do you want to add anything?' I was like, 'I might regret it if I don't,'" Michele told the magazine. "It makes me so happy, this song. It makes me think so much of Cory. It was ours. When I think if him, I play this."
Monteith died on July 2013 from a drug overdose at the age of 31. He was best known for his role as Finn Hudson in the popular TV series "Glee." After his death, the absence of Finn's character impacted the viewership of "Glee" in a big way. The season premier of the fifth season attracted a 30 percent lower viewership than the season 4 opener. Season 5 has also been able to earn only a 2.0 rating. However, a season 5 episode where the entire cast paid tribute to Monteith attracted over 7.5 million viewers, the highest of this season.
