Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, has issued a statement in response to Iran's admission that it sent drones to Russia.

In a historic address to MPs and peers, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mimicked Winston Churchill, pledging to combat Russia "in the forests, in the fields, on the shores, and the streets."

Zelensky, speaking via a video connection to a full House of Commons, hinted at his previous request for a no-fly zone over Ukraine, urging the UK to assist guarantee the "skies remain secure," and calling for stiffer penalties.

Zelensky's Emotional Address

In a nod to William Shakespeare, Zelensky claimed that Ukraine's choice was "to be or not to be." During his remarks, Zelensky urged Boris Johnson and other Western politicians to impose further sanctions. He also seemed irritated with Western countries for refusing to implement the no-fly zone over Ukraine.

UK's Prime Minister Boris Johnson, along with other NATO officials, has advocated against a no-fly zone because it would mean sanctioning the shooting down of Russian planes, thereby escalating the conflict.

At another point in the speech, Zelensky alluded to the Russian siege of Mariupol on Ukraine's southern coast, stating the city had gone days without water or food. Parliamentarians greeted Zelensky's passionate speech with a rare standing ovation and applause both before and after it, according to Telegraph.

The gathering MPs, wearing headphones and stern looks on the packed benches, gave the huge, somber room the air of a war crimes court as Volodymyr Zelensky recounted the crimes perpetrated by a "gangster state." Putin, Zelensky's antagonist, should hopefully face a modern-day Nuremberg.

The Ukrainian president clarified that he was speaking to everyone in the United Kingdom as an international citizen. With his eyes heavy and face drawn as he told  about the tragedies in his nation, he might have been someone you just met counseling you through a personal problem. According to Mirror, Zelensky's stubborn manner is proof that Putin will lose. His message, like his presence in our legislature, was straightforward. "I'm not hiding, I'm not afraid. We will endure."

Other foreign leaders, such as Barack Obama and Angela Merkel, have spoken at Westminster before. However, unlike the feeling that they were participating in some sort of mutual adoration ritual, this seemed genuine. It was a pressing matter. When he invoked the spirit of Winston Churchill, he promised to fight the Russian adversary in the fields and forests; he pressed the British patriotic buttons even harder.

Ukraine President Urges Air Support From West

In what has become his annual morning message, Zelensky addressed the Ukrainian people via video from an undisclosed location Tuesday morning. In the besieged port city of Mariupol, a kid died of dehydration, according to the Ukrainian president. He advocated for the creation of more "safety lanes" for civilian evacuation.

Russian and Ukrainian authorities have been negotiating for days over the corridors, with Russian soldiers reportedly breaching ceasefire agreements and shooting on fleeing people or booby-trapping escape routes. For more than a week, Ukrainian cities have been under siege by Russian soldiers, who have bombarded them with intense shelling and airstrikes. Zelensky pleaded with Western countries to give air support to Ukraine's air force.

Zelensky has been requesting that NATO establish a no-fly zone, which Russia is generally anticipated to regard as an act of war. In addition, Zelensky has urged Western countries to send additional fighter planes for Ukrainian pilots. Zelensky began his speech by noting that Tuesday is International Women's Day, which is a significant occasion in both Ukraine and Russia, New York Post reported.
