Sixth Suspect, Anthony L. White, Arrested In Disappearance, Death Of Virginia Police Captain Kevin Quick

A sixth suspect was arrested on Sunday in connection to the disappearance and death of Waynesboro Police Captain Kevin Quick, the Washington Post reported.

Anthony L. White, 22, of Mineral, Va., was detained and charged with one count of gang participation, Virginia State Police said. He joins five other suspects in the case of Kevin Quick, a 45-year-old police captain who went missing over a week ago and was found dead on Thursday.

On Friday, authorities charged three others -- 22-year-old Gert Wright, also known as Halisi Uhuru; 49-year-old Leslie Hope Casterlow; and 31-year-old Anthony D. Stokes Jr. -- with a felony count of gang participation and a charge of "principle in second degree to the crime of murder," which police explained in a statement.

"This means these individuals are not being charged with Quick's homicide but in association with his death," Virginia State Police said in the statement.

Wright, Casterlow, and Stokes were arrested on Thursday.

On Tuesday, police arrested a pair of siblings -- Mersadies Shelton, 20, and Daniel Mathis, 18 -- and charged them with grand larceny for the theft of Quick's silver 1999 Toyota 4Runner.

"We're still piecing together this network of individuals," said Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller.

Quick was reported missing on Saturday by his family. He was last seen on Friday at 10:15 p.m. after leaving his mother's house in Afton. Quick, 45, was supposed to go to a friend's house in Albermac County but never showed up.
