Naked Man With 'Super Human Strength' Shot After Biting Teenager On The Face

A naked man with "super human strength" was shot by a Florida sergeant after he attacked a former New York City police officer and bit another man on the face, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.

The naked man, who was 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, was taken to Delray Medical Center where he later died. It is not clear if he died from the gunshot wound or from another condition.

Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said the naked man was walking down a street in Delray Beach when he suddenly attacked a 66-year-old former NYPD officer.

The attacker then chased another man and his 10-year-old son down the street to the entrance of a gated community, the AP reported. Next the man got into an altercation with an 18-year-old man. The teenager used a box cutter to defend himself, but the attacker bit the teenager on his face.

"The 18-year-old thought he was trying to eat his face off," Bradshaw said at a Tuesday press conference. "The people that he assaulted, starting with the retired NYPD guy, the people that he chased and then the 18-year-old, said this guy had like super human strength," Bradshaw said.

"But he's a big guy to start with. He's not fat, he looks like an NFL linebacker. And he basically was terrorizing people all up and down this street," Bradshaw said, the AP reported.

The victims were also treated at Delray Medical Center, however their status was not released. Bradshaw said the 10-year-old suffered an injury while trying to get under the gate and away from the man, the AP reported.

When law enforcement arrived on the scene they had to use a stun gun to stop the man's advances.

"He takes a fighting stance. They're trying to get him on the ground. He starts charging them," Bradshaw said, according to the AP.

A sergeant then shot the man twice in his upper body and once in the lower part of his body.

"The deputies had to do what they had to do to disable this guy so he didn't get into this gated community and wreak havoc in there," Bradshaw said, the AP reported.

The man's identity and background is not yet known, but police suspect drugs were in his system, the AP reported.
