The disappearance of a local police captain in Virginia has authorities worried he is in "grave danger" after obtaining surveillance footage, CBS News reported.
Kevin Quick, captain with the Waynesboro Police Department, was reported missing on Saturday by his family. He was last seen on Friday at 10:15 p.m. after leaving his mother's house in Afton. Quick, 45, was supposed to go to a friend's house in Albermac County but never showed up.
As authorities began investigating, they found surveillance footage showing two men they believe to have information regarding Quick's disappearance. The police captain's silver Toyota Forerunner with his license plate is shown in the footage as well.
Investigators scheduled a news conference at 2 p.m. on Monday to further discuss details surrounding the case. Police are following several leads thanks to multiple residents calling in tips, NBC12 said.
According to WTVR-TV, extensive searches took place on Saturday and Sunday. The Virginia State Police are leading the investigation into the case.
Quick is described as a white male, standing 6'1" tall and weighing 200 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He also wears contacts or glasses and has a scar above his left eye.
