General Mills released its Cheerios Super Bowl commercial this week, ahead of Sunday's game.
The commercial features the same interracial family from last year's ad, which garnered huge attention after it debuted on YouTube.
The 2013 spot, titled "Just Checking," featured a black man, white woman and their daughter. Soon after it went live, users engaged in racist and discriminatory discussion, causing General Mills to disable the comments section.
Despite the hubbub, the cereal company has brought back the adorable family, with a commercial called, "Gracie."
In the video, the father speaks with his young daughter about the new baby brother she'll soon have.
Time time around, comments on the video have remained largely docile in nature.
"I'm actually really happy about this 'controversial' commercial," user Anna wrote. "I'm glad they finally decided to think out of the box instead of just throwing up two white parents or two black parents with basically no racial diversity in the families. This is a normal thing."
"While I agree that this is awesome, I feel like this commercial was made only to stick it to the racist people that jumped all over the last one," another user said. "Pretty gutsy for Cheerios."
A final sentiment that rounds out the entire message of the advertisement is displayed in the last scene.
"Love."
