One Man Fatally Shot, Two Injured In Separate Boston Shootings

One man was fatally shot and two others were injured in shootings that occurred within hours of each other in Boston, BostonHerald.com reported.

The first victim, described by police as a man in his twenties, was "suffering from multiple gunshot wounds" when officers found him in Dorchester around 10 p.m. on Sunday. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his identify has not been released.

The second incident occured in Mattapan when a man and woman, also in their twenties, were shot around 3 a.m. Monday. Though their official condition has not been released, a police spokesman said their injuries were life-threatening. The man was shot in his chest and groin and the woman was shot in her stomach and leg, according to reports.

Both were taken to nearby hospitals and neither of their names have been released.

According to Boston.com, this is the seventh murder to occur in the city this year.

No arrests have been made in either case and the investigations are ongoing.

On Friday, another shooting occurred in Dorchester, leaving 22-year-old Trevain Keene dead.

Police responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m. thanks to ShotSpotter, an acoustic system that immediately notifies police of gunfire. Keene suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
