Director James Cameron has promised four sequels after his record breaking box office hit "Avatar," each installment is still a work in progress and will be arriving to cinemas soon. Fans on Avatar are eagerly waiting for the second part to be released and Sigourney Weaver has confirmed the filming date saying that the shooting is to begin by the fall of this year.

Earlier the filming was said to begin at August 15, this year but it looks like the crew has already started the training. Cameron said that all four sequels will film back to back and he recently confirmed that he finished his work on the scripts. Sigourney stated that the scrip is amazing and the production has already begun.

According to the Independent, the scripts are so extraordinary that Sigourney is worried how they are going to bring them to life. The actress promised that the wait is really worth and the film will certainly be mind blowing. They are trying to get it done as quickly as possible but due to the nature of the filming the date for "Avatar 2" has been pushed back.

Earlier the film was all set to release by December, 2018. But Cameron stated that it was not happening. There are complications in filming especially "Avatar," because it does not seem so easy. As Cameron said they are not only filming "Avatar 2" they are also making 3, 4 and 5. It is indeed an epic undertaking.

There is no doubt that he needs more time for all four films, Avatar alone took Cameron four and a half years to complete. The director is also returning to the Terminator franchise, and with a busy schedule it naturally takes time to complete something huge like "Avatar 2." Now that the filming date is confirmed its just a matter of time for the film to hit theaters.
