“Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” Season 2 had already released its first episode. Thus, fans were left to want more of The International Response Team. Fortunately, spoilers were released from the web and from the showrunner herself.

Indeed crossovers really would happen in the upcoming “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” Season 2 Episode 2. Joe Mantegna is then reported to guest as his “Criminal Minds” character, David Rossi in the episode entitled “Il Mostro” which would take place in Italy. The synopsis is then said to be “When two casualties resemble the M.O. of the most notorious killer in Italian history, the International Response Team is called to investigate.”

Yet, Mantegna’s role in “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” Season 2 Episode 2 wasn’t detailed. Paul Sorvino is also said to appear as Dr. Dominic Scarpa which is identified to be “a venerated surgeon connected to the original case” per CarterMatt. 

 In addition to that WUSA29 reported that another “Criminal Minds” star would appear on “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” Season 2. Kirsten Vangsness was then identified to play her part as Penelope Garcia in the upcoming episode that would air on March 30 entitled “Denial.” The synopsis for that episode then was mentioned to deal with some case in Cairo, in which an Egyptian-American was killed in a gas attack.

Furthermore, “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” Season 2 showrunner Erica Messer shared in her interview with TV Line some of what fans could expect. Alana de la Garza who plays Cara is said by Messer to be open in dating again this upcoming season 2. “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” actor Simon Kassianides is then stated to play the role of the man who Cara would meet.

Speaking about travels, “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” Season 2 was revealed to venture further to Italy, Columbia and Bangladesh as it had started from Tanzania. Of course, Matt who is played by Daniel Henney is mentioned to have his own time in South Korea as Messer described.

Messer also mentioned that “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” Season 2 would have a cringe-worthy case when they travel to Italy. She also identified that their bottle episode would be the most terrifying there is. The IRT is then identified to be in trouble with the FBI in that episode as she had shared.

Rest assured, fans could watch “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” Season 2 Episode 2 this coming March 15, 2017.
