2014 Critic's Choice Awards: Best And Worst Dressed Stars

As the season of Awards gets underway, check out what the stars wore to the most recent 2014 Critic's Choice Awards held January 16.

So why is it that after every fashion award ceremony, a best and worst dressed article is published? That's probably because everyone wants to know what their favorite stars wore to the event. It is often said that it is during such events that you can actually gauge the fashion sense of stars. Sure thing they look all glamorous in films but that's because they have a stylist and a designer at their beck and call. We really want to know how fashionable these stars are when left on their own. So check out which actresses created an impression at the 2014 Critic's Choice Awards and which failed to impress.

Best Dressed:

While there was no one that left us breathless at their Red Carpet appearance, Lupita Nyong'o was easily the best dressed. After impressing everyone with her red gown at the 2014 People's choice awards, this actress had a tough act to follow but came out with flying colors. Her white Calvin Klein number was just perfect for the event.

Margot Robbie looked gorgeous in an Elie Saab jumpsuit. While some may argue that the dressed looked "wrinkly" and "awkward", it worked perfectly well for her. She stirred clear of heavy makeup and complimented her outfit with minimal accessories.

Amy Adams is not quite the fashion diva, but she did manage to get it right this time round. The draped sleeves, single black strap and belt made her Roland Mouret gown a knockout.

Worst Dressed:

Unfortunately, Sandra Bullock reprised her earlier fashion disaster, which she made at the Golden Globes. She definitely wasn't the worst dressed of the evening but we're used to seeing so much more from Bullocks at the Red Carpets that two worst dresses in a row is simply too hard to digest. Her face, hair and makeup looked simply superb but the dresses didn't fit the cut. The maroon number looked too frilly and the silver belt looked out of place.

What happened to Hollywood's "Pretty Woman"? Julia Roberts looked like she had ripped the upholstery of an old couch off and sewed it into a gown. No offense, but even a new comer would know better than looking so drab at an Award ceremony.

Elisabeth Rohm's outfit leaves you confused. Has she draped a curtain around herself? What color is it? Grey? White? Well Ok! Maybe it would have worked for her some other time but for the 2014 Critic's Choice Awards - maybe not! It's just too "blah."

The Guys!

What can we say about the guys? Bradley Cooper and Matthew McConaughey were their charming selves. Jared Leto was the surprise of the evening looking extremely good in his easygoing tux and no tie look for the evening.
