The Boston Celtics reached the NBA playoffs in two of their last three seasons. In those times, they have a combined 113-133 win-loss record. In the offseason, they acquired one of the biggest free agents in Al Horford. And because of that, the expectation is that the Celtics will be one of those teams that could challenge the Cleveland Cavaliers for Eastern Conference supremacy.

It looks like they will make the playoffs once again this season. But so far, they are playing below the expectations of many critics and fans. With a 13-11 win-loss record, they are third in the Atlantic Division and sixth in the Eastern Conference. They lost three of their last four games but with only an 11-point deficit combined during those 3 defeats.

For the Celtics to be a much stronger team, they need to upgrade their frontcourt lineup. Al Horford is a very good offensive player. But he needs a frontcourt tandem that is more skilled in defense and can protect the rim.

And according to The Christian Post, a trade between the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics might take place. In the said deal, the Boston Celtics will send Kelly Olynyk to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Andrew Bogut.

If the trade will push through, the Celtics will be a much more formidable team. Although Bogut is not an offensive threat, he is very good in defense. He can protect the rim and get rebounds. Teaming up with Horford will make them a force down low and will strengthen their defense from the inside.

The Dallas Mavericks might also benefit from acquiring Kelly Olynyk. What the Dallas Mavericks lack is scoring the basketball, especially now that Dirk Nowitzki is still sidelined because of an injury. Although Olynyk only averaging 9.5 points in his career, he is still a very good offensive player. If given more playing time, he can easily increase his scoring average.

DeMarcus Cousins is having his best season so far. In 23 games with the Sacramento Kings this season, he is averaging 28.2 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks, as per ESPN. He is clearly the best center in the NBA right now. But because of the Kings struggles over his tenure, Cousins has been involved with a lot of trade rumor talks.

But as further discussed by The Christian Post, Cousins might stay with the Sacramento Kings next season if the team manage to reach the NBA playoffs this season. Currently, the Kings have an 8-15 win-loss record. They are at eleventh spot in the Western Conference and 3 games behind 8th placer Portland Trailblazers.

The Sacramento Kings can still make the playoffs this season. If they do, expect Cousins to remain with the Kings. But if they don't reach the playoffs once again, there is a possibility that he will be traded. But given all the trade rumors circulating around, where will Cousins play if he will be traded?
