"Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" will feature Rihanna, who is coming back to the big screen. She will appear alongside Cara Delevigne and Dane Dehaan in Luc Besson's upcoming sci-fi epic.

According to Time, the trailer of the movie highlighted Rihanna magically changing her appearance by taking off her hat.

The report added that Besson told the entertainment weekly that Rihanna was his first choice because of her voice, how she expresses herself and her general persona. He also added that she doesn't get intimidated on the set as she is used to playing gigs at stadiums with a lot of people watching her.

"Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" is one of 2017's must-see releases, reported  The Sun. The plot reportedly tells the story of Valerian and Laureline, two agents for the government of human territories who set out on a voyage to the intergalactic city of Alpha. In Alpha, different species across the universe strive to lead the life, much like the huge cities of modern Earth.

But as usual, Valerian and Laureline reportedly encounter evil forces and has to rescue the race of humans. In addition, they have to deal with their mutual attraction to each other.

The Sun reported that Cara Delevigne of "Suicide Squad" fame continues to traverse the acting space as Laureline. She will team up with "Amazing Spider-Man 2" star Dane Dehann, who plays as Valerian. Rihanna plays the role of the bubble while Clive Owen plays the role of Commander Arun Filitt.

The trailer encompasses an alien world and shows many alien characters. This space-themed movie trailer plays the haunting number "Because" by Beatles as the canvas moves between aliens and human beings in a special effect paradise.

The sun reports that the cast includes Coen brothers collaborator, John Goodman, Chinese rapper Wu Yifan, and training day fame Ethan Hawke.
