CyanogenMod 14.1 is based on Android 7.1 Nougat code released by Google and the developers have framed it for the OnePlus 3 smartphone. Reports claims that there are small bugs in the code and work is being carried out to get rid of them in coming future.

Pre-Installation Procedure

  • Download Support package file
  • Download CyanogenMod 14.1 ROM
  • Download Google apps package
  • User shall unlock the OnePlus 3 bootloader and install TWRP custom recovery on it.
  • User shall backup the device data to PC or cloud
  • User shall charge the phone well enough for the installation process, at least 60% prior to the custom ROM installation part.

Procedure to install unofficial CyanogenMod 14.1 based Android 7.1 Nougat on OnePlus 3

1.     Move all the three zip packages to OnePlus 3 internal memory. Move them to the root directory to easily access them at the time of recovery.

2.      Reboot the phone to recovery mode and tap Install.

3.      Select the support package zip file and confirm to install it on your phone.

4.      Reboot phone normally to the Oxygen OS and shut it down again.

5.    Boot again the phone to recovery mode and click Wipeconfirm the action to wipe the cache and system from the phone.

6.      Come back to the main menu and click Installselect the CM 14.1 ROM zip file and confirm to flash.

7.      Again, use the Install to install the Google Apps zip package.

8.      Click the reboot System to reboot the phone to the OS mode.

9.      After Reboot, Phone might take some time for the Welcome screen for the first time and later all steps can be performed following the on-screen simple instructions.
