The family of an American man incarcerated in North Korea is infuriated with Dennis Rodman for comments he made during his highly-publicized visit to the volatile country.

Kenneth Bae has been incarcerated in North Korea since November 2012 for committing "anti-state" crimes, ABC News reported.

"Dennis Rodman could do a lot of good by advocating for Kenneth to Kim Jong Un, but instead he has decided to hurl outrageous accusations at my brother, insinuating that Kenneth has done something sinister," Terri Chung, Bae's sister, said in a statement obtained by ABC News.

In a television interview with CNN on Tuesday, Rodman was asked if he would use his influence on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to get Bae released.

"The one thing about politics, Kenneth Bae did one thing," Rodman told CNN's Chris Cuomo, according to ABC News, "If you understand- if you understand what Kenneth Bae did. Do you understand what he did? In this country?"

Incensed by Rodman's words, Chung said he is "clearly uninformed about Kenneth's case, and he is certainly not in any position to pass judgment on Kenneth Bae, who has never any hostile intentions against the DPRK," ABC News reported.

The interview between Rodman and Cuomo grew intense, with Rodman telling Cuomo at one point "I don't give a rat's ass what the hell you think."

Rodman is currently in Pyongyang, North Korea on what he says is a "basketball diplomacy" mission. The former NBA player sang "Happy Birthday" to Kim Jong Un, who is believed to be 31-years-old, ABC News reported.

Rodman and a team of former NBA members then played a basketball game against North Korea's national team while a crowd up 14,000 people, including the leader and his wife, watched, ABC News reported.

Bae's family said basketball is not the only game Rodman is playing.

"My family and I are outraged by Rodman's recent comments," Chung said, ABC News reported. "He is playing games with my brother's life. There is no diplomacy, only games, and at my brother's expense."
