Fans are halfway through the 2016 NFL season but trade rumors continue in making the headlines nowadays. And it seems that rumors will not leave Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler until the end of the season. Now, rumors are saying that he is heading to the Washington Redskins.

Earlier reports have linked Cutler to being traded to the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints and this is due to his poor performance leading the team to a 1-6 record before their game against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday. And now, a new buzz emerges as Cutler rumored to be on his way to the Redskins.

According to ESPN, the Bears and Redskins are allegedly in talks and possibly making a deal to send Cutler to the Redskins for QB Kirk Cousins and a third-round pick. Though Cousins are putting up impressive numbers, many still believe that he is still not a great QB and must improve more on his quarterbacking skills.

Cousins for this NFL season have 215 completed passes out of 321 attempts gaining 2,454 yards with 12 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. If you look at it, this is not bad for the fourth-year quarterback but pundits do believe that he is not the QB that will bring the Redskins to great glory. And the Redskins might shift him to the Bears for Cutler.

The report also says that the Redskins tried to acquire Cutler in the spring of 2009 to the Denver Broncos. But the Broncos decide to send Cutler to the Chicago Bears in exchange for another QB Kyle Orton, two first-round picks and one third-round pick. Moreover, this could be the perfect timing for the Redskins to steal him from the Bears.

Jay Cutler is a great quarterback but fans in the Windy City is ready to move on without him including the team management and the coaching staff according to the Latin Post. This deal could be a win-win situation for both teams as the Redskins will have an upgrade on the QB spot while the Bears will chop a lot of money on their salary giving them more cap space for the future.

Will the Chicago Bears agree to deal Jay Cutler to the Washington Redskins for Kirk Cousins before the NFL trade deadline?
