The Seattle Seahawks is holding a 4-2 record and currently at the third spot of the NFC division. From the looks of it, the team is going to the right direction and many believe that they will enter the playoffs this season. But many analysts did notice they are lacking in offense.

But fingers are not pointing to their quarterback Russell Wilson playmaking but on their offense. After Week 8, their offense is only averaging 18.7 points (29th) and total yards of 339.9 (23rd). Russell has completed 136 passes out of 207 attempts and garnered 1,559 yards in total, 5 touchdowns with only 1 interception after 8 games.

And now, Seahawks management and coach Pete Carroll are considering to make an upgrade on their offensive line. According to Morning News USA, the Cleveland Browns are said to be shopping Joe Thomas to other teams and this could be a chance for the Seahawks to grab him. For nine consecutive years, Thomas never misses and been selected to the Pro Bowl since he was drafted in 2007 by the Browns.

Adding Thomas to the Seahawks lineup will give them a solid player in the offense that can protect Russell from any sack that will come. The Browns is reportedly asking a second-round pick for Thomas in return and it seems the Seahawks have the assets to give.

In addition, it will be a win-win situation for both teams as the Browns will get their wish of a draft pick for next season while this could be the chance for Thomas to win a ring to a competitive team. But the Seahawks must move quickly as other teams are also scrambling to get the services of Thomas.

In a separate NFL report by OregonLive, the struggling offensive line of the Seahawks was evident during their game with the Arizona Cardinals. Seahawks tackle Gary Gilliam and Bradley Sowell had a hard time containing Arizona rushers Chandler Jones and Markus Golden by putting pressure Wilson to make a play limiting the Seahawks to only 130 yards of offense the whole game.

But coach Carroll also believes that it will be very difficult for the team to acquire Thomas or any other offensive player to help them at this moment now that it is the midway of the season.

Will the Seahawks be able to sign Joe Thomas and make a deal with the Cleveland Browns? Stay tuned for the latest NFL news, trade rumors and update.
