Fans hold their breath as "Vampire Diaries" co-stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev attend the 2014 People's Choice Awards together, hoping for a reunion.
Nian fans are ferociously hoping for a reunion between their favorite "Vampier Diaries" on-screen pair Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev as reports of them attending 2014 People's Choice Awards together begin making the rounds. However, this move seems like more of a necessity than an attempt to rekindle their romance. Most often, such events require that celebrities attend along with their co-stars, according to EntertainmentWise.com. This may just be one of those moments.
The duo made headline last year when they ended their three-year long relationship for reasons best known to them. Fortunately, the two have remained friends and have maintained that they have no ill feelings against each other.
Since the breakup, while Somerhalder has been making headlines for being a strong contender to star in "Fifty Shades of Grey," his ex has been linked with two other men. These linkups have not gone down too well with many Nian fans who desperately want to see her back with Somerhalder. Post the split, Dobrev has been linked with ex boyfriend Derek Hough and Nathaniel Buzolic.
Amid all these linkup rumors, reports of a reunion with Somerhalder were sparked when Dobrev took to her twitter account to wish her co-star on his birthday.
"Happy Bday Smoudly!" tweeted Dobrev, adding, "Hope you had a beautiful day filled w/smiles+gluten free cake! But not too much cake, we're on the CW :P @IanSomerhalder."
CelebDirtyLaundry.com also reported that the two may just be celebrating the holiday season together to help revive their romantic relationship.
"Whatever Ian and Nina now share is most certainly going to remain private but from what we're hearing, they will be making time for each other this Christmas holiday season," the report read.
