Tom Hardy may be one of Hollywood's biggest hunks and most successful stars, but as the actor recently revealed to the UK Mirror, deep down he's worried that he will screw up his entire career.

"I'm just a frightened bloke. Everything scares me. Not being in control, not knowing, anticipation, waiting for something to go wrong," the "Dark Knight" actor told the British newspaper. "Fear itself. I'm in a really good space today, but I can always find something to moan about, even sitting on a pedestal. It's never that far away for me."

Back in 2003, Hardy checked himself into rehab for alcohol and drug addiction, and since then has remained clean and sober, though he battles his addictions daily.

"I love what I do, but it's driven by a fear of not being able to do it. It's the same with drinking - if I stop then who am I? What have I got? I have to watch that drive. It doesn't matter how well I am doing, I'm only that far away from f**king it all up," he told the Mirror.

Despite his concerns, 2014 is looking to be a big year for the star, as he has completed filming two new feature films, including the crime drama "Animal Rescue" and historical drama "Child 44," set in Stalin-era Russia.
