Sony and Microsoft are going head-to-head again with the imminent releases of the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox Project Scorpio.

Both game consoles look very promising. And now, fans are dying to know which of them are really worth the buy.

Microsoft recently announced that Xbox Project Scorpio's edge over the PlayStation 4 Pro will be its power and efficiency. At the E3 in Los Angeles, Microsoft finally divulged some specifications of the Project Scorpio.

Like the PlayStation 4 Pro, with Microsoft's game console players will be able to play video games in 4K quality with a bonus of Virtual Reality.

Because of the immense power of Xbox Project Scorpio at 6 TFLOPs, the game console is expected to run at maximum 4K resolution all the time.

Meanwhile, some are skeptical whether PS4 Pro can really be capable of 4K-gaming. In terms of power, the PS4 Pro is much lower than Project Scorpio.

PS4 Pro expected to run on octa-core, x86-64 AMD Jaguar CPU with 4.2 TFLOP GPU.

Though, as iTech Post puts it, hardware is only one of the many factors to be considered when choosing a game console.

As far as Virtual Reality is concerned, it can be said that Sony is at the top of it already. The PlayStation VR Headset has been receiving good reviews when paired with the existing PS4 in the market. While Microsoft's VR partner still remains undisclosed.

Also, Microsoft Xbox Project Scorpio may be a powerful game console, but Sony has been more successful in getting exclusive deals.

It still too early to conclude which is the better console since Project Scorpio is still in its development stage and no official specifications have been released yet.

Some people are even speculating that the very early announcement is in hopes that people will actually wait for Microsoft's game console.

After all, the PlayStation 4 Pro will dominate the market for a long time before the Xbox Project Scorpio is officially released.

Xbox Project Scorpio is due to be released in Fall 2017. While the PlayStation 4 Pro release date will be on November this year.
