Woman Posts Notes Around Town In Search Of Lost Love

A lovesick woman from Virginia started a campaign to find a man she met for one night at a restaurant in Old Town Alexandria.

Instead of first using Facebook or Twitter, the girl, identified as Courtney, did her search the old fashioned way- she posted signs around Old Town asking for the man she met at the Light Horse restaurant to call her.

"Ben, (From the Light Horse)," the note read. "I made the wrong choice on Dec. 23rd. Call me! -Courtney."

Courtney posted the notes all over one of Old Town's main streets.

"I printed off about 75 [notes], and I think I got about 60 up, all down King street," Courtney said, Yahoo! News reported.

Courtney met Ben at the Light House on Dec. 23. She told WTTG Fox 5 they talked for hours.

"Religion, faith, morality, culture, and how do you define culture in society, definitely not the things you just randomly talk to someone about in a bar," Courtney told Fox 5. "It was an extensive conversation in the middle of a DJ playing, a hundred people dancing all around us."

But that's it. The two never exchanged phone numbers when Courtney left with her friends.

"He is probably early to mid-30s, white male with brown hair, beard, brown eyes, average build, slightly athletic," Courtney told Fox 5.

Courtney's search did make it to social media. She used the twitter account @OldTownCourtney, to help her efforts go viral.

"I've found a couple numbers that could be him from the google searches. I'll be calling today. #FindBen," Courtney tweeted Jan. 1, 2014, Yahoo! News reported.

Courtney told Fox 5 she received positive responses and messages from people wishing her luck. By Thursday afternoon, Courtney tweeted that her search was successful.

"I found Ben! To respect Ben's privacy, I won't be taking any more interviews. Thank You everyone for the support in my quest to #FindBen!!!" said Courtney's tweet, according to Fox 5.
