"This is Us" Season 1 has officially been extended by NBC. Plus, Entertainment Weekly just made the newest dramedy series its cover for the week. Not only that, the network has already released the official plot description of Episode 3 "Kyle."

According to Goerie, NBC just extended the current installment run by ordering 18 episodes all in all for Season 1. This is because TV critics called the show as the "breakout hour-long series of the fall season."

Entertainment Weekly  declared the season premiere of "This is Us" as the best new show of fall 2016. This after the first two episodes of the dramedy series made huge impact on the viewers, prompting the site to put it on this week's cover.

The whole cast and crew also apologize to the viewers for giving them an emotional roller coaster, tugging the heartstrings of those who watched it.

As for the official plot synopsis of Episode 3, Spoiler TV notes, "Rebecca (Mandy Moore) makes a surprise visit to Randall's (Sterling K. Brown) home where she encounters his biological father, William (Ron Cephas Jones). Kevin (Justin Hartley) anxiously decides to take the plunge and move to New York to pursue a Broadway job, with the expectation that his sister, Kate (Chrissy Metz), will move with him.

Toby (Chris Sullivan) is determined to get Kate out of Kevin's shadow and prepares a special day where she is in the limelight. Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca take home their babies from the hospital and adjust to the new life of parenthood while coping with the loss of their other child. Rebecca struggles to connect with their adopted child and searches for answers."

"This is Us" Season 1 Episode 3 is entitled as "Kyle". The upcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at 9:00 p.m. first and exclusive on NBC.
