NBA preseason games have already started. This is the time where teams are assessing if the players are accustomed to the system coaches have infused  during the offseason. This is also the time when new players, rookie or traded players, are blending well to their teammates.

Some of the teams are already satisfied with their current lineup but most of them are still figuring it out to make their roster more impressive. And as the new NBA season is about to start a couple of weeks from now, trade rumors never stop to explore possible deals to teams that are looking for an upgrade. But out of nowhere, an unlikely trade rumor came to surface that no one has expected.

According to The Inquisitr, there are ongoing talks between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat for a possible trade. The trade suggests that the Miami Heat will send center Hassan Whiteside to Lakers in exchange for center Timofey Mozgov, power forward Julius Randle, and shooting guard Nick Young.

The report also said that Lakers are at the losing end of this deal by trading one player for three. But if one looks closely, the Lakers are at the better end of this deal, the report stated. They got one of the futures and upcoming center of the league in Whiteside. Though they will lose Randle in the process, there's no doubt about the talent Whiteside will bring to the team.

It is the Heat who would be hesitant to trade Whiteside. Although Randle is a great piece for the power forward position, they can't rely on Mozgov to man the middle. The Heat would rather have the combination of Hassan Whiteside and Derrick Williams rather than a Mozgov and Randle on the frontcourt.

And it appears that the deal will not push through based on what Whiteside would deliver in a preseason game. Miami Herald reported that Whiteside explodes for 20 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks in just 23 minutes of play in a 106-95 win over the John Wall-less Washington Wizard. The report says that Whiteside "felt good" on his game and gave credit to his other teammates for the win.

And if the deal will push through, it will not come at the nearest time as Whiteside and Mozgov just recently signed their contract with their respective teams. But from the looks of it, the Heat will not bite this deal.
