The legendary Ford Bronco is back with its new version. After 12 years since it was introduced, Ford Bronco made customers wondered about what to expect from this new SUV.

What makes this car different from its original version?

After it discontinued the production of Bronco SUV in 1996, Ford came up with the new concept of Ford Bronco in 2004. After 12 years of waiting, Bronco is reborn as a new off-road SUV.

Rumors about the return of Bronco persisted for some time, as USA Today reported. Nevertheless Ford refused to confirm the plan in resurrecting Bronco.

Previously, Ford was criticized by presidential candidate Donald Trump for moving its small car production to Mexico, giving up the job for the Americans.

In respond to the criticism, chairman of United Auto Workers (UAW) Bill Johnson told the Detroit Free Press that Ford will soon make two of its car lineup, Ranger and Bronco, in Michigan factory, after completing the relocation of Focus and C-Max production to Mexico.

Ford Ranger and Bronco will be made in the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Mich.

Johnson admitted that he also feels uneasy about shifting the production to Mexico.

"We hate to see the products go to Mexico, but with the Ranger and the Bronco coming to Michigan Assembly," Johnson said as quoted by RoadandTrack.com. "That absolutely secures the future for our people a lot more than the Focus does."

Ford Bronco was first introduced in 1966.

The new concept of Ford Bronco was similar to the original. But it will be powered by a 2.0 L intercooled turbodiesel I4 engine and a six-speed manual transmission. It also used the 4WD system which replaces the Bronco's old Control Trac II to increase stability.

There is a lot to expect from the new car. However, its release date has not been confirmed.
