An Ohio man accused of murdering two women in the 1990s pleaded guilty to hundreds of charges in Cleveland on Monday afternoon.
Elias Acevedo, 49, entered guilty pleas to 297 counts, including the murders of two women, kidnapping and raping children, according to the Associated Press.
Acevedo was accused of killing neighbor Pamela Pemberton, who was murdered in 1994, along with Christina Adkins, 18, who was killed while pregnant one year later.
Pemberton was found strangled to death, AP reported.
A Cleveland court also charged Acevedo with a host of rape and sexual assault accusations, including some abuse-related allegations.
Most of Acevedo's rape charges concerned crimes that occurred more than 25 years ago.
Ohio authorities decided to take a second look at Acevedo's case after three women were found captive in a Cleveland home earlier this year.
Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, along with Berry's 6-year-old daughter, escaped from Ariel Castro's house in May 2013 after being held there for years.
