"The exceedingly popular instant messaging and photo sharing app can succeed where Google Glass failed." — Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel

Over the long weekend, a new piece of hardware was introduced, and it became popular in just a few days. Snapchat: Spectacles earned recognition on its opening day due to its fully equipped and straightforward-to-use video camera that comes a trending and fashionable design.

Being a straightforward and easy to use spectacle, just tapping a button located on the frame will record successive 10-second clips from the first-person perspective.

BGR reports this very trending Snapchat's Spectacle is expected to go on sale this fall for only $129.99 and will come in a variety of colors. What makes it more appealing to fans is that the video footage Spectacles records will not be framed in a traditional orientation.

Spectacles comes with 115-degree angle lens, so all recorded video footage will be circular. This eyeglasses will make the recorded video more closely approximate to the human's eye vision range.

"Imagine one of your favorite memories," Snapchat says in a Petapixel article describing the features of the high-tech sunglasses. "What if you could go back and see that memory the way you experienced it? That's why we built Spectacles."

On just a single charge with the use of its provided case, the Spectacles can capture a day's worth of Spans to document a user's life. After tapping the button to record a 10-second event, the device connects directly to Snapchat via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to transfer precious memories into the app.

There's more: Users can play circular videos in full screen on any device in any orientation of these sunglasses. Snapchat, which has recently been renamed into Snap Inc., is launching the limited initial batch of Spectacles very soon.
